The route runs along the paths travelled hundred years ago by the English and Scottish troops who were fighting alongside the Italians during World War I. In the valley there is one of the five British military cemeteries of the Plateau, the Barenthal British Cemetery, where there are the remains of British soldiers killed in this location. Nearby there is a second cemetery, Granezza’s, many UK families still visit it.
