Descent of the Brenta River

Descent of a beautiful stretch of the Brenta River, running through the town of Valstagna with the technical and fun "slalom course", famous for hosting races and training of the Kayak Slalom National team.
The stretch is not particularly difficult (II/III) for an expert canoeist, just a little where you have to cross the slalom course, but it’s easy to bypass it, obviously with normal levels.
The assistance from the shore is always possible and the road runs always nearby.

Technical description:
Boarding downstream in San Gaetano (right bank); after a couple of kilometers there is a first rapid (short but fast, to be set at the center) with a pond at the end, then the entrance into the "slalom course", technical and with a discreet change of slope, after another rapid below the bridge (easy).
Other not difficult small rapids (attention to some poles emerging on the left) to the Caves of Oliero, from which comes the namesake stream (almost always dry, but be careful to some eddy in the confluence). Disembarkation on the right.

Technical tips:
Recommended technical clothing and recovery equipment (throwing ropes, cow-tail, etc.), closed canoes, rafts or hydro.

Where to park:
At the disembarkation there is a big parking (near the Caves).
At the boarding point there is an open space near the river very convenient.
