Home » Brenta Dolomites Trek Expert-Tap 7 Rifugio Agostini – Rifugio Pedrotti
This stage traverses scenery of particular charm and fascination, first passing along the slopes of the Val d’Ambiez and then arriving close to the Pozza Tramontana, a karst gorge 200 meters deep and more than a kilometer long. To reach the Pedrotti refuge one must skirt the edges of the Pozza, slaloming between giant landslide boulders and exposed equipped passages.

Technical description
Below the S. Agostini Refuge, the low “Elio Palmieri” SAT 320 (E) trail (E), which is not very strenuous and of panoramic interest, branches off and crosses the amphitheater of the Upper Val d’Ambiez and climbs to Forcolotta di Noghera (m. 2423) on an easy up-and-down path. Continue along the trail that from Forcolotta enters the Upper Ceda Valley, descends slightly and skirts the deep karst depression of Pozza Tramontana. The trail bypasses the huge Pozza Tramontana without touching its bottom and ascends to the foot of Cima Brenta Bassa, where it meets the junction with SAT Trail 358 (EEA – D). Follow SAT trail 358 (EEA – D), which leads in 30 minutes to Rifugio Pedrotti e Tosa (m. 2491).
