It is one of the most beloved and popular routes in South Tyrol: the bicycle path from Toblach to Lienz via Innichen, which crosses the Italian-Austrian border following the course of the Drava River.
The route is 48 km long (96 km if you choose to cycle back to Toblach), with an elevation gain of 500 m, easy to overcome and also suitable for families.
The route is the initial part of the famous Drava Cycle Path, a splendid route that starts at the station in Toblach in the Pustertal valley, near the source of the river, and unravels 366 km to the Slovenian city of Maribor.
Technical description:
We leave Sexten to cross the Italian border near Prato alla Drava. From here begins the long, gentle descent to Lienz in Austria, at the confluence of the Isel and Drava rivers.

Technical tips:
The bike tour is suitable for everyone, also recommended for families with children. The route is always slightly downhill, not at all challenging and well-marked. The bike path is paved and separated from car traffic.
