From Malga Flavona we descend again, conquering a dense, thick and mysterious forest. But before long we are climbing high into high altitude meadows, crisp air and the walls of Livezza looming overhead. We normalize on a gently descending path that becomes tamer as we enter the pastures of Malga Tuena.

Technical description
The DBT Expert route continues from Malga Flavona by taking the path down to Malga Pozzol (m. 1632), equipped with a bivouac, and enters the larch and spruce forest typical of Val di Tovel. From the Malga, follow the SAT 314 (E) marker on a forest road that leads to the SAT 312 (E) Dena Trail in 40 minutes. After 2 hours of walking steadily uphill, we reach the base of Livezza Grande at an elevation of 2180 m. From here we turn right, following the SAT 380 (EEA) marker, which continues flat above the vegetation until we reach the bottom of Val Madris, where we take the forest road that leads to Malga Tuena (m. 1710).
