STAGE 2: Sappada – Malga Dignas (36.3 km)
The stage starts again from Sappada and begins to gain altitude by following the course of the Piave River back along a paved road until it reaches near its source. We are on Mount Peralba, and from here we continue on dirt tracks that are always very rideable. A downhill stretch makes you go from 1800 meters to about 1350 meters in the space of a few kilometers, as you descend into the charm of Val Visdende, small but with grandiose and unspoiled spaces, so much so that it is nicknamed “The Temple of God.” At km 15 the climb begins again, taking on the Tour of the pastures, very impressive and partly on single-track, at times even challenging, all running at an average altitude of 2000 mt. In this section the route offers breathtaking views of Val Visdende until we reach, riding our E-bike, the arrival point of the second stage, Malga Dignas, where it is possible to stay overnight.
