STAGE 3: Malga Dignas – Padola (54 km)
It’s back on the e-bike at Malga Dignas, for thelast leg of the Dolomititrail.
For the first kilometers we descend into the heart of Val Visdende, surrounded by a real nature oasis, and then face the climb to the summit of Mount Zovo (1943 mt), reached at km 15. The summit, where there is a characteristic totem pole made by local sculptor Luigi De Martin, is the most panoramic point of the entire tour: the view sweeps 360°, admiring the Sexten Dolomites, the Carnic Alps, the Terze and the Cadore.
The enchantment of the magnificent view broken, we start pedaling again, losing altitude along the Alto Comelico, among some ups and downs, and then begin at km 27 the big climb that leads to Passo Silvella (km 35), the highest point of the tour (2329 mt), at Col Quaternà, another unique part of the itinerary.
The last 20 km of this e-bike tour are downhill, crossing the Monte Croce Comelico Pass and the Valle della Madonna, set among grasslands grazed by hundreds of cows and horses in the wild.
