Home » MTB loop from Urbania to Monte Montiego
Mount Montiego is part of the Marche Apennines, and the mountain bike route reaches its summit, located at 920 m.
Starting from Urbania-the city of majolica and “Lady of the Metauro” (named after the valley in which it is located)-the tour embarks on an ascent to Montiego, enjoying extraordinary glimpses of the Mount Nero massif, Mount Petrano and Mount Catria.
Once the summit is conquered, we embark on the adrenaline-fueled descent down PS3.
Technical description:
The route includes an initial flat section, followed by the climb to the top of Montiego, about 18 km and 800 meters of elevation gain.
The descent, if you choose PS3, is very technical and only for experienced bikers, suitable for full bikes. Alternatively, one can descend by retracing the same route taken to reach the summit of Montiego.
For those who want to lengthen the ride, it is also possible to go back up and try PS1 (enduro) and PS2.
Advisable to bring enough water.
