On Sunday, March 5, the adrenaline-pumping appeal of theOrvieto Wine Marathon, an event dedicated to MTB enthusiasts now in its 14th year, returns. This year’s biker race will again take place on a specific route, which we offer here.
It is a course of about 48 km and 1680 meters of elevation gain, which will test any rider. Its peculiarity? The continuous alternation of hard climbs and technical descents, leaving not a moment’s peace of mind! However, completely immersed in nature and the striking views of this part of Umbria.
Indeed, the Orvieto area is renowned for the beauty of its hills and the goodness of its food and wine products. The trail passes by some of the area’s most famous vineyards and covers the most scenic areas in the entire area.
Technical description:
The trail winds within the unspoiled nature of the Elmo Forest (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Sette Frati Park on Mount Peglia.
The route is of medium difficulty, with technical climbs and descents but accessible to all.
