This bike tour is one of the most beautiful ever to do in the Langhe area. One encounters villages and castles that are unique in shape and features and undoubtedly worth a stop. You travel along roads surrounded by vineyards, and at the highest part of the route you can admire a splendid view of all the Alps, from Piedmont to Lombardy.

Technical description:
The 44 km route is suitable for everyone, with a more challenging first part and an easy second part.
We start in Alba, from a large traffic circle at the entrance to the city, and head 10 km flat to Gallo Grinzane (hamlet of Grinzane Cavour). Passed the village, continue cycling toward the small village of Castiglione Falletto and then take the uphill road to Monforte d’Alba. The section measures about 6 km, with gradients of 8% at the beginning and 5-6% from the middle onward. The first section is that of the 2014 Giro d’Italia time trial.
On the road back to Alba you pass through the quaint village of Serralunga d’Alba, with its imposing castle.

Technical tips:
The route is on a paved road. The climb is 6+4 km (split by a descent at Monforte). From the middle of the route onward it is all downhill and flat (interspersed with two very short uphill tears).
