Home » The Lessini Mountains by bicycle
Isolated between the Adige Valley, the Lessini Mountains and Valdagno, Lessinia is not crossed by major roads and is little known. This is a hilly area that gradually rises from the Veronese plain to nearly two thousand meters in the Lessini Mountains, which border it to the north.
It thus presents a wide variety of landscapes, from the plains where the Adige flows lazily, to the intensely cultivated hills of Valpolicella (famous for its excellent wine), to the mountains with alpine pastures and forests of beech and fir.
Technical description:
The proposed itinerary of about 120 km can be easily covered in one day, but it is worth devoting a second day to Verona, which, famous above all for the Arena, also surprises with its preserved historic center, dense with splendid churches and palaces.
