STAGE 2: Tricase – Santa Maria di Leuca (18 km)
Leaving the port of Tricase, we continue pedaling south on the provincial road, immersed in the nature and scents of the Costa Otranto – Santa Maria di Leuca Natural Park.
The route leading to the southern end of Salento passes through unspoiled territory, where coves, sea caves, cliffs and ancient watchtowers are magnificent postcards of this corner of Puglia.
You cycle through the Marina Serra district, encounter several coastal towers along the way, passing through Marina di Novaglie, to the famous Ciolo Bay and its breathtaking view. Slipping southward, we finally reach Santa Maria di Leuca: pedaling along the Lungomare Colombo promenade, we stop the bike at Punta Ristola, the southernmost tip of the “Heel of Italy.”
