Description of the route
Easy trekking immersed in the nature of the Regional Natural Park Litorale di Punta Pizzo e Isola di Sant’Andrea, south of Gallipoli (Lecce). A walk among the crystal clear sea and vegetation of the Salento coast, in a stretch characterized by spectacular “biodiversity.”
Technical description:
Loop trek of 16 km on a mixed trail (sand-rock-gravel), starting from the mouth of the Samari Channel, south of Gallipoli. You cross the beautiful Foggi beach and the inner edge of the pine forest. Then continue on the coastal path that goes around Punta del Pizzo, to cross the coastal road and ascend toward Masseria Nova. From here you go towards the humid area of Foggi, crossing it up to the provincial road that takes back to the starting point.
